Jose Mourinho to select Paul Pogba for Chelsea clash

The Frenchman has not played for the Red Devils since injuring his hamstring against Basel in the middle of September, causing him to miss 10 further games across all competitions.

However, Jose Mourinho wants to ease his record signing back into the starting XI and will only put him on the bench if he comes through the remaining sessions this week unscathed. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Mourinho refused to confirm any injury or team news ahead of facing Chelsea.

Pogba’s return will be a welcome boost for United, who have been without the likes of Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera in midfield. Even if he is not fit in time to face Chelsea on Sunday, that match is followed by a two-week international break after which the Frenchman should be recovered enough to return to action.

The Frenchman has been a huge miss for Jose Mourinho's side, sitting out their last 10 matches in all competitions
